Eva Grigoriadou

About me

Eva Grigoriadou graduated in 2011 from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where she studied Philosophy, Education and Psychology (major in Psychology) and is also a qualified Art Psychotherapist (BAAT and HCPC fully registered) since 2014 (MSc in Art Psychotherapy, Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh-UK). With a background in philosophy studies, she is able to provide the opportunity to explore and work with an existential approach but her main therapeutic approaches are psychodynamic and psychoanalytic. She is currently a trainee psychoanalyst at ‘The Hellenic Society of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy’ (HSPP).

In 2019-2020 she attended the ‘Group Dynamics in Psychiatric Settings’ training offered by the Hellenic Society of Psychoanalytic Group Psychotherapy in collaboration withthe collaboration of the Department of Psychology of the University of Athens and the public Psychiatric Hospital “Aiginiteio”. In 2021-2022 she attended the ‘Therapeutic Approaches to Addiction Treatment’ training provided by the Psychiatric Hospital of Athens, “Dafni”.

She has worked with different populations in various organisations since 2014. During her master’s practice placement (2011-2014) she provided individual psychotherapeutic sessions to adolescents with offending behaviour at the low-security and residential “Pentlant View Support Unit” (Edinburgh) and has worked with children, who have experienced trauma and their families at the “Aberlour Langlees Family Centre” (Falkirk).After her postgraduate studies, she worked in Scotland at the low-security psychiatric clinic “Priory Hospital Ayr Clinic” with women 1:1 but also facilitated art therapy groups between 2014-2018. She also offered practice placement supervision to art psychotherapy students, who did their practice placement within the hospital grounds. In 2015 she collaborated with the organization "Impact Arts" and offered art therapy sessions to children who have been acutely affected by drug and alcohol abuse in their family (Glasgow).

In 2018, she returned to Greece, where she offered individual and group art psychotherapy sessions to oncology patients and their care-givers for the NGO “PAMEMMAZI” in collaboration with the "Agioi Anargyroi" oncology public hospital. She also worked in a shelter for unaccompanied minor refugees, offering psychotherapy sessions to teenagers of the NGO “The Home Project.” She also worked at the Day Centre for children, adolescents and young adults with neoplastic diseases and their families for the Hellenic Cancer Society.

She now offers psychotherapeutic sessions to adults at the mental health centre "Vima Koino" and collaborates with a psychiatrist at "Relate", a psychodynamic psychotherapy space. Her private practice is in Kipseli area, at the city centre of Athens, but she also offers online sessions.

She is a co-founding member of the Hellenic Society of Psychosocial Oncology and a member of BAAT and HSPS.
